Monday: “Music Helps Your Dreams Come True” – Pajama day.
Tuesday: “3 Cheers for Music!” – favorite team colors/jerseys
Wednesday: “Music is my Superpower” – Superhero shirts or costumes
Thursday: “Disney Songs all Day Long” – Disney music in cafeteria and dress as your favorite Disney character
Friday: “Music Rocks Our Socks!” – Wear silly socks
Tuesday, March 13th at 7:30-8:15am – Lonnie B. Nelson Cafeteria
Calling all basketball enthusiasts, family members, and breakfast lovers! Join us in the Lonnie B. Nelson Elementary cafeteria to gather with other sports enthusiasts for a fun morning event with a college basketball theme. Visitors will have an opportunity to participate in our Bracket Breakfast. Complete a men’s and women’s NCAA Bracket for the tournament. Please join us for the fun!
Every year, Lonnie B. Nelson assists Spring Valley High School with their Winter Days drive. This year, we’ve been asked to collect toiletries to help the homeless and our own Girls in Pearls mentoring club is collecting items for Toby’s Place, a shelter for women and children, also run by Oliver Gospel Mission.
Here’s a list of what we need for donations:
Regular sizes (Toby’s Place) and travel sizes (Winter Days) are appropriate:
Shampoo
Conditioner
Body wash
Lotion
Toothpaste
Toothbrushes
***Wash clothes {major need}
Toilet paper
Shaving cream
Paper towels
Deodorant
New packaged socks
We need the items by Monday, November 20th! We’re also wearing all our Carolina and Clemson attire! Dr. Grant, our fabulous school counselor, creates a virtual game and announces the game- just like on the radio- throughout the day. Our goal is to fill a Carolina buggy and a Clemson buggy for our donations! Whoever has the most donations wins! (At least for the virtual game!) You’ll have to watch the real game to see who takes home the honor this year !
